How to set up a driver

1. Driver creation

When a depot is created, by default the driver setup is disabled. But you do have the option to enable it. 

When the driver setup function is enabled, it becomes mandatory during shift creation. Currently, there is no validation for driver assignment to the shift. This means that one driver can be assigned to the shift multiple times.

Once drivers are enabled, you can create them from the driver setup page by clicking on 'Add New Driver'. The only mandatory input is the driver ID, which cannot be changed.

2. Delete or disable a driver

Deleting and disabling drivers are two different things. When the driver is deleted it will be deleted permanently and there will be no possibility to restore it. After disabling the driver, it becomes inactive and can be activated again. 

You can do either of these actions by clicking the relevant action buttons and selecting the required action. 

Disabled drivers can be filtered out by using the filter on the left side panel.
